The battle for Dak to is the longest and bloodiest, single campaign of the Vietnam War. More than 1600 enemy dead and 285 American lives testify to its ferocity. Artillery and mortars pound enemy positions and block escape routes. - NICE FOOTAGE - A mountain side is destroyed by battling. A giant helicopter lands a water tank to American forces entrenched on a hillside. Troops line mortar shells. A sign next a pile of sand reads, "Battery 4th / 42nd Artillery - Sandbaggers - ""You yell. We shell. Like Hell!"" - Open 24 Hours Daily." Artillery installations fire rounds from fortified positions. Smoke blows over the whole scene. Plumes of white smoke rise from nearby mountains where shells have landed. Three close-up shots of artillery batteries firing and two shots of groups of soldiers firing grenades from sandbagged positions.
77 die, hundreds are stricken after eating poisoned bread in the Colombian city of Chiquinquira. Most of the dead are children below 17. A local bakery made the bread, not knowing the flour has been contaminated by pesticide which leaked in shipment. Footage begins by showing crowds of people lined outside a medical clinic holding young children in their arms. The children are then seen receiving medical treatments via tubes down their throats, and lying motionless on metal framed beds in a hospital ward. Street marquee sign of the bakery that sold the poisoned bread, and bags of tainted flour being inspected by officials in a stockroom.
The newest thing in airport safety, a nylon net to bring huge jets to a slow stop without passenger injury, is demonstrated. U.S. Carriers off Vietnam use a similar system. A metal skeleton of a passenger aircraft moves down a runway and crashes into a nylon net that had been stretched across its' runway. A close-up shows the net clinging to the engines on the craft's wings as it is brought to a stop.
The Green Bay Packers clinch the NFL's Central Division title with a 17-13 win over the second place Chicago Bears. Bart Starr passes and Denny Anderson plunges for two Packer TD's A screen reads Green Bay 17 Bears 13. The crowd at Wrigley Field seems calm. The Packers and the Bears line up against each other. The ball is snapped, and the Bears quarterback throws an interception pass caught by Dave Robinson who then carries it back to the Bears 19. It's the Packers' ball, and Bart Starr throws a first down pass to the 6th. Starr then avoids Bear linesmen to throw a touchdown pass into the end zone. The crowd claps and cheers. Bears Quarterback Ron Bull hands off the ball that is then carried to the Packers 43 for a first down. Hale Sears runs the ball for a Bears touchdown. A Bears kickoff is caught by Travis Worth who runs the ball back 69 yards to the Bears 25.
Experimental simulating landings on a test-flight machine at the University of California, help develop new runway lights for safer landings at airports covered by fog. A thick fog covers passenger jets docked at a terminal. An experimental lighting system is shown being tested. An aircraft simulator speeds down a conveyer into its' testing zone. Reflective paint and light bulbs line the runway. A fog machine sprays fake fog to test the effectiveness of system. A pilot appears unaffected by the bastardly machine that covers the runway with waves of artificial nuisance.
Underdog Navy upsets Army, 19-14, in their traditional inter-Service battle in Philadelphia's Kennedy Stadium. Brilliant passing by Navy quarterback John Cartwright plus tight defense gains the win. Army's sophomore quarterback Jim O'Toole leads a Cadet fourth-quarter drive for two T.D.'s but it's too little, too late. A black screen reads, "Football - Navy 19 - Army 14." Miniature football figurines, buttons and ribbons are sold outside John F. Kennedy Stadium. Soldiers wearing white caps march. Soldiers make square formations in the field prior to the start of the game. Soldiers run up the bleachers to their seats. Others march in formation around the outside track. Interception and touchdown plays. The scoreboard shows the scores. Fans cheer and wave their caps.
The Cleveland Browns top the New York Giants, 24-14, to draw one step closer to the Century Division Championship in the NFL. An intercepted Giant pass for a 79 yard T.D. is the game's turning point. A black screen reads, "Football - Browns 24 - Giants 14." Plays show the opening kickoff, field goal, run and an interception plays.A sign advertises the Pontiac GTO. The score board shows the progression in scoring. Fans raid the field and pull a goal post to the ground.
The luxury liner Queen Mary is welcomed to her final home, Long Beach, California, after her final voyage, a 40 day trip from Southampton around Cape Horn. She'll be a permanent museum and convention facility. The cruise ship, The Queen Mary, motors up the Pacific Coastline on its way to Long Beach California. Countless sailboats, military frigates and yachts escort the ocean liner. All footage is aerial.

Collegiate football's most coveted award goes to the athlete who helped rack up a 3 year record of 23 wins and only 5 loses. His future in pro football may be with Minnesota. Soldiers raise their guns in solute. The President enters The Great Ice Hall. Russia President sits watching a gymnastics performance. Performers bend at the waist and twirl ribbons in unison.

Models that could not make it in New York, parade around in smashing designs from the fashion mecca of Tanisia. The first beauty just screams Little Red Ridding Hood in her hooded overcoat with simply waves of white accent set against a dark tweed. The second beauty enters wearing a brilliant white ottoman dressed adorned with pearls. Twirling her little self around, she raises her dress showing a little leg. Then some girl who doesn't even look like she is from Tunisia appears, and throws off the whole mood of the show, but her dress sure is one snazzy number. Another after dark creation, with echoes of Mediterranean nights, is shown by the lovely, I have wonderful eyebrows girl. The next number is a Golama Hoops Dress with a provocative cape modeled by Zombie Woman. And no fashion show would ever be complete without a wedding dress, but this model doesn't looks like she should be wearing white on her wedding day - uh-la-la.

The Army's Cheyenne, world's most advanced combat rotorcraft, flies horizontally or vertically, and can hit a silver dollar at a mile and a half. It'll escort troop-carrying helicopters. U.S. troops search villages in the Bong Son Plain area for Viet Cong and sympathizers who may remain following a two-day battle. The Communist stronghold threatens all allied supply routes. American troops exit a military transport helicopter in the jungle. Troops begin searching a village. A soldier places a listening device against a wall. A soldier searches a debris pile for hidden villagers. An elderly Vietnams man comes out from a hidden bunker. Villagers are gathered together for processing, and then march out of the camp with the soldiers. Many of the women carry small infants. VERY GOOD FOOTAGE.
