The 17th Annual Cycle-Cross Championship race is held at Zurich, Switzerland. This rare sport combines cycle racing and cross-country running while carrying the bike! The fifteen-mile distance is covered swiftly by winner Renato Longo of Italy. Throngs of bicycle enthusiasts cheer on the athletes as the race begins. Photographers, sport fans and the back sides of the bicyclers. The cyclists are riding on grass and come to a hill. They jump off their bikes and carry the bikes on their backs as they trudge their way up the hill. The cyclists are back on their bikes riding downhill. 1 hour 17 minutes and 32 1/2 -seconds later the winner of the race crosses the finish line. Renato Longo of Italy is the winner.
