A Marine Chaplain says Mass on an alter of ammunition boxes in a makeshift chapel near the DMZ, where heavy fighting has occurred. Elsewhere, a troop ship provides a chance for GI's to wash the mud out of their boots by dipping them in the Makong River. Soldiers conduct a mass in a burned out section of jungle. An altar is constructed, and a priest conducts a service. Soldiers receive communion and dip their hosts into Holy Water. Separate footage shows a ferryboat on a river.
