Poland Celebrates: Military Display Marks Nazi Defeat
Poland celebrates the end of German occupation twenty years ago and it's a springboard to extol their Communist regime. The honor guest is Premier Khrushchev who came to Warsaw expecting to hold a meeting of East Europe Communist leaders. However, Romania wouldn't show up and Khrushchev found himself trying to quiet the demands of satellites for more independence. So there are cracks in the facade mounted by the parade of rockets and military might. This is an aerial shot looking down at the Polish air force flying in an X formation.
