Urges 'Peace Bridge' President Dedicates Marshall Memorial
In an atmosphere of profound pride, President Lyndon Johnson dedicates the George C. Marshall Research Library at Virginia Military Institute and the unveiling of a remarkable-likeness in bronze of the father of the Marshall Plan. Second, to bring every European nation closer to its neighbors in the relationships of peace. We will continue to build bridges across the gulf which has divided us from eastern Europe. They will be bridges of increased trade, of ideas, of business and of humanitarian aid." The crowd applaud as President Johnson walks away from the podium.
