Navy Pilots return from Vietnam: U.S. Navy pilots (attack squadrons) landing at Oceana Naval Air Station, Virginia Beach, Virginia, from the aircraft carrier USS Independence (CVW-7) after seven months of combat duty off the coast of Vietnam in 1965. Planes from this carrier were the first to bomb area near Hanoi and Haiphong sea port. Great colorful shots of families excitedly waiting for their loved ones. Wives and children are well dressed, good example of the mid-1960s fashion.
